Learn the Delicate Art of Diplomacy

The Model G20 Summit is a highly-accurate international diplomacy simulation designed to give young leaders a taste of the life of a diplomat. Our program has been used to train future diplomats and to build skills valuable in a variety of career fields and this year will be no different. Our last full Summit took place virtually in March 2021 and our next Summit will be held in March 2023.

Spring 2024 Summit Debate Topics

Negotiations at the Model G20 Summit are organized into two parallel tracks: the “Sherpa track” and the “Finance track.” Each track meets separately, negotiating political and economic topics to find consensus on pressing global issues. For the Spring 2024 Summit, the topics for the Sherpa track are food security and agricultural sustainability and artificial intelligence and the workforce. The topics for the Finance track are international financial inclusion and frameworks for public-private partnerships. On the final day of the simulation, a “Leader track” is conducted. The topic for the Leader discussion is how to alleviate global poverty and inequality. Additional information about the structure of our simulation will be provided to registered participants in the form of our comprehensive delegate handbook, to be released 1-2 weeks prior to the summit.
